Who owns what we build

  • • What we build for you becomes yours once it is paid for

How payment works

  • • Fixed price, time and materials, or a monthly retainer — your choice
  • • Invoices are due within 30 days
  • • We can fit the schedule to how your budgeting works
  • • Milestones and dates are agreed in writing before work starts

What we keep to ourselves

  • • Anything sensitive you tell us stays with us
  • • Your own technology and methods are protected
  • • The obligation runs both ways
  • • It does not end when the work does

The standard we work to

  • • Work done to the standard the industry expects
  • • What we deliver matches what was specified
  • • The people on your project are qualified for it
  • • We do not promise perfection, because nobody can deliver it

What we are liable for

  • • Our liability is limited to what you paid for the work in question
  • • We are not liable for knock-on losses further down the line
  • • This is the normal arrangement in this industry
  • • It is also what allows the prices to be what they are

Ending the arrangement

  • • Either side can end it with notice, without needing a reason
  • • You pay for the work done up to that point, and no more
  • • We help with the handover rather than walking away
  • • Everything you have rights to is transferred to you

If we disagree

  • • We talk to each other first
  • • Then mediation or arbitration, by preference
  • • Both are faster and cheaper than going to court
  • • Which law applies and where is settled in advance

If these terms change

  • • We tell you before a material change takes effect
  • • Registered users are notified by email
  • • If you do not agree, you can end the arrangement
  • • We change them when something needs changing, not routinely

What we need from you

  • • Information when we ask for it, rather than later
  • • Access to the systems the work depends on
  • • Answers on what we deliver, so it can move forward
  • • Sticking to the dates we agreed together
  • • Information that is accurate — we build on what you tell us

The point of all this

  • • Terms that are fair to both sides
  • • Clear expectations, so both sides can commit
  • • Ask us anything about them, at any point
  • • So that the attention goes into the work rather than the paperwork
